Midfielder has been offered chance to train with Citizens
New York City star Frank Lampard could be set for a shock return to England with Manchester City offering him the chance to train with them.
The veteran midfielder only left England over the summer in order to begin his new adventure in America with the newly-formed MLS side, but he’s already been eyeing up a return to his homeland.
According to reports, his former-club have offered him a chance to come back and train with them in order to help find his feet again after suffering numerous injuries since playing in America.
Lampard To Make City Return?
Lampard spent the 2014/2015 season on loan at the Etihad Stadium, and could begin training with their first-team once again after a succession of calf and hamstring injuries.
The 37-year-old has only made nine appearances for his new club, scoring three along the way, and according to reports, City have invited him back to their training ground in order to gain fitness.
