French duo to offer Petr Cech loan chance

Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech, has been offered the chance to go out on loan for the season by French giants, Paris Saint-Germain and AS Monaco.

The Ligue 1 duo are keen to sign the veteran shot-stopper after he was demoted to number-two at Stamford Bridge due to the returning Thibaut Courtois, and with the 32-year-old keen to avoid sitting on the bench for the season, he may seek a move away from the club.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has been trying to persuade Cech to stay at the club and fight for his place, but with interest from PSG and Monaco, a potential season-long loan deal could be in the pipeline, which will see Cech get regular first-team football.

Mourinho made the tough call to start Courtois on Monday night for their first game of the season, and it’s believed that the young ‘keeper will remain the club’s number-one for the season, after enjoying three loan spells away in Spain with Atletico Madrid.

The Premier League side know they have to sell at least one overseas player before the window shuts due to Premier League registration rules, and Mourinho could use Cech as that option and could send him out on loan for the season.

However, The Blues are keen to install a call-back clause just in case anything happens to Courtois.
