Napoli striker has been linked with move away
The agent of Gonzalo Higuain has hit out at the media for claiming his client is set to reject a contract extension from Napoli.
The Argentinian international has been heavily linked with a move away from Naples in recent months, with a trio of Premier League clubs all interested in signing him.
It was reported yesterday that Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool are all ready to make formal moves for Higuain over the summer, despite him having a £77million price-tag.
It was also suggested that the striker will snub a contract extension offer from Napoli in order to force a move away from the Serie A club.
However, Higuain’s agent has rubbished those reports and have stated they are just attempts at destabilising the club.
Agent Slams Reports
“We are one point off the top of the table and people talk in order to make trouble for us,” Nicolas Higuain tweeted.
“Napoli are up there and have a really good chance of winning the Scudetto, so let’s stay united.
“This is not the right moment to listen to a load of rubbish. Forza Napoli, all together we can win.”
