Lewis Holtby has welcomed the challenge of a large amount of new signings made by Tottenham during this transfer window.
Tottenham signed the German midfielder from Schalke in the January transfer window and has been in and out of the Tottenham side since. Now he will be jostling with the likes of recent signings Paulinho, Nacer Chadli, Eric Lamela, Etienne Capoue and deadline day signing Christian Eriksen.
Holtby has only managed one appearance so far this season when Spurs won 3-0 over Dinamo Tiblisi in the Europa League, he had an impressive game scoring his first goal for the club.
The 22 year old appears to be relishing the challenege he faces to get into the squad. “I am very pleased to be in this squad,” he said.
“You need a big squad if you want to challenge for trophies and be strong in every competition.
“To be part of a big squad, it just makes your game better.”
