The Gunners missed out on a striker throughout the summer
Arsenal have reportedly stepped up their interest in Paris Saint Germain striker Edinson Cavani with reports suggesting that the French outfit are ready to sell the striker in the January transfer window.
The Gunners were linked with a number of strikers over the summer, including Uruguayan ace Cavani right up until the close of the transfer window.
However, no move was forthcoming, with PSG apparently unwilling to sell the forward, but the Daily Express quotes Spanish sources as saying Cavani could be sold in January.
Premier League Interest
The news has apparently put Arsenal ‘on alert’, along with Manchester United, who are also believed to be keen on the player.
The 28-year-old is currently valued at £45million.
Manchester United would be favourites to secure the strikers signature if a bidding battle was to ensue.
