‘I have no regrets over push’, insists Wenger

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger holds no regrets after pushing Jose Mourinho during his side 2-0 defeat to Chelsea.

The Frenchman was visibly annoyed early on in the game when Gary Cahill’s wreckless, two-footed challenge was given a yellow-card, rather than a straight red, which it deserved.

After seeing the challenge on Alexis Sanchez, Wenger went over to see his player, before Mourinho got in his way and told him to go back to his technical area.

The Arsenal boss then decided to push Mourinho away and after the game, he opened up about what took place on the sideline and he insisted that he has no regrets regarding what happened.

‘What is to regret after that? I wanted to go from A to B and somebody confronted me without any sign of welcome,’ Wenger said following his side’s loss.

‘B was get to Sanchez to see if he was injured. Was it a push? A little one. You can see when I really try to push.’
