Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has insisted that he is a lot calmer on the pitch these days after returning from his 10-game ban for biting Chelsea’s Branislav Ivanovic last season.

The Reds forward was caught on camera biting into Ivanovic’s arm during the club’s 2-2 draw at the end of last season and due to his actions, he was then banned for 10-games.

Making his return last month, Suarez has been on top-form for The Reds in the Premier League, including a brace during the club’s 3-1 victory over Crystal Palace at the weekend.

After suffering his second severe ban in England, the Uruguayan finally believes he is a lot calmer on the pitch now and is ready to put the past behind him.

“I am aware that in recent matches that I played I’ve been calmer.

“I am very self-critical and I realised that playing well, with more tranquility, is helping me a lot. I realise and I prefer to continue and not be the same as before.”
