Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini believes the international break has come at the right time for the club as he believes it will bring a welcomed break for most of the players.

The Gunners enter the break top of the league after Sunday’s draw with West Bromwich Albion and their next game will come on the 19th when they host struggling Norwich City.

Speaking to the club’s official website, the French midfielder has admitted that it gives people a chance to rest-up and re-charge ready to go again.

“I think it [the break] comes at a really good time because we have played a lot,” said Flamini. “Obviously everybody is tired physically and tired mentally because you have to give 200 per cent in every single game.

“For us it is a chance to have players coming back into the group like maybe Theo [Walcott] and Santi [Cazorla]. I hope everyone will be back soon.”
