Luis Suarez has been in exceptional form for Liverpool this season and this has sparked debates to whether, Suarez is Liverpool’s greatest player of all time.
Jamie Carragher has given his view on the subject claiming, “I think he could [be seen as the club’s greatest],” said Carragher, speaking to Sky Sports.
“I think in terms of ability as a player he could be the best player to play for Liverpool. That’s in terms of natural ability and what we see week in and week out.”
Carragher believes for Luis Suarez to be considered the clubs greatest ever player, he would have to remain at the club for several more years and lead the club to more silverware, as well as competing in Europe.
The controversial striker is currently the top goal scorer in the Premier League, even after missing the first 5 league games. Only at the end of his time at Liverpool will a judgment be made, however if he carries his spectacular form on then, there will be a strong case in Suarez’s favour.
