Arsenal are set to complete a move for FC Porto’s Colombian striker Jackson Martinez, the Metro suggest.
The North London side had been keen on the in-form striker in January, however Arsene Wenger failed to get the move done last month.
Reports in the Spanish media suggest that the 28-year-old is now Arsenal’s prime summer target, with Wenger ready to splash the cash spend ÂŁ29.5 million to lure the striker to the English top-flight.
Should Martinez link up with Arsenal this summer, he will certainly bolster their attacking prowess, given that Olivier Giroud id their only out-and-out striker.
Martinez has netted 25 goals for Porto this term, in another fruitful campaign at the Portuguese outfit.
