Miranda had interest from Chelsea and Manchester United. Barcelona were also keen on signing him up.
Miranda has a £24m release clause in his contract and was understood to be desperate to leave the La Liga champions.
But according to Spanish newspaper Marca, no club submitted a big enough bid to trigger the clause in his contract.
Miranda returned to pre-season training on Monday and was bombarded by fans questioning where his future lies.
But the Atletico ace moved to reassure them he was going nowhere and said: “Don’t worry, I’m staying.”
