Joao Moutinho has underlined his desire to win something at Wolves in his first season.
The Midland giants have exceeded all expectations since their promotion to the top tier and have managed to bring their own unique style to the Premier League. It has been an exciting journey for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side so far who has led the team to the FA Cup semifinal and should the knock out Watford in the semis it would be their first FA Cup final appearance since 1960.
When all the fellow promoted team struggled for existence Nuno has used his resources very carefully and the likes of Moutinho, Ruben Neves and Raul Jimenez have emerged as a surprise package this season.
Moutinho said, “Every player when they sign for a club wants to win something. We are in the semi-final, but we will try to beat Watford. They are a very good team who have very good player and play very well. We try to do our best to get to the final.
“We know to win something this year, it is the FA Cup, and that is why we need to be focused for the next game.
“First we need to go to the final and we have a hard game. But if we can win all the players will try to win. I do my best to win something. That is what my motivation is – to win something.
“My ultimate ambition is to win the Premier league as I have never won it, but I want to win the FA Cup if we can, but we have a hard game on Sunday.
“I have never won the Champions League, I was in the semi-final and quarter-final, but I have won the Europa League. I think day-by-day, year-by-year and this year we can win something – this is the cup, but we have a tough game and we need to prepare for that.”
