The Red Devils say he has “mild thrombosis”

Man United’s Phil Jones will be out for up to three weeks.

The defender didn’t take part in the club’s 1-0 victory over Tottenham today and the Red Devils say it is due to mild thrombosis, which is basically the clotting of blood somewhere in the circulatory system.

It means he’ll be sat on the sidelines for the next few weeks, with Daley Blind having to fill his role for the next few games at old Trafford.

Jones featured 30 times for United in the 2014/15 campaign.
