Jose Mourinho stays silent on Arsene Wenger

Jose mourinho this week decided to remain tight lipped and gave the cold shoulder to this week’s Premier League foreplay insisting: “I’m not in the mood”.

After proving a headache for Arsene Wenger and Manuel Pellegrini in recent weeks, Mourinho refused to engage with either the Arsenal boss or the Manchester City manager yesterday.

The Special One has been vilified for blasting Wenger as “a specialist in failure” in response to the Frenchman’s claim that managers who play down their sides’ title chances do so out of a “fair of failure”.

This week Mourinho has decided not to give his view on anything, from Wayne Rooney’s new ÂŁ300,000-a-week contract at Manchester United to Chelsea’s Champions League tie against Galatasaray on Tuesday.

In all, he refused to discuss Rooney, Wenger, Pellegrini, Juan Mata, Roberto Martinez, Romelu Lukaku, Arsenal, City, the competitiveness of the Premier League, the Champions League and the title race.

Asked what was the matter, Mourinho said: “I’m fine. I’m not in the mood.”

The questioning then went like this:

Have you taken a vow of silence?

“No.”

Are you unhappy about the criticism you’ve received?

“No.”

What’s your reaction?

“I have no reaction.”

Is there something you’d like to talk about?

“No. If you’ve finished, I’ll go.”

No! Do you think Chelsea will benefit from the problems that their title rivals have had in Europe this week?

“I don’t speak about other teams.”
