Chelsea boss hits back at Real Madrid manager
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has advised Rafael Benitez’s wife to take care of her husband’s diet instead of commenting on football related topics.
Montse Benitez, Rafa‘s wife, commented about how they always have to go to clubs in order to clear up Mourinho‘s mess, and although the comment was meant to be tongue-in-cheek, The Special One has retaliated in classic fashion.
Benitez and Mourinho History
The comment from Montse came because in recent years, Rafa Benitez has taken over at clubs where Mourinho had recently left.
Benitez joined Chelsea after Mourinho left, he then joined Inter Milan following Mourinho’s departure and now he is at Real Madrid.
However, in some cases, there has been a different manager in between the two and that is what Mourinho highlighted when he was confronted about the comments made.
Mourinho then continued to discuss it and then told Montse Benitez to look after her husband’s diet instead of commenting about football.
Mourinho Hits Backs
Mourinho said: ‘The lady is a bit confused, with all respect. I’m not laughing, because her husband went to Chelsea to replace Roberto Di Matteo and he went to Real Madrid and replaced Carlo Ancelotti.
‘The only club where her husband replaces me was at Inter Milan, where in six months he destroyed the best team in Europe at the time. And for her to think about me and to speak about me, I think the lady needs to occupy her time and if she takes care of her husband’s diet she will have less time to speak about me.’
