The Argentine winger has been attracting interest from both North London sides, Tottenham and Arsenal throughout the transfer window.
Lamela had a great season at Roma, scoring 15 goals in 33 appearances this past season.
According to the ‘Mirror’, Lamela is prepared to start contract negotiations with Roma officials, extending his contract until 2018.
The 20 year old’s current contract runs until 2016.
