Manchester United manager, Louis van Gaal, will attempt one more bid to try and bring Mats Hummels to Old Trafford.
The Borrussia Dortmund defender has been on United’s radar for a long time, but the Red Devils couldn’t agree terms with the Bundesliga club.
However, it is believed that there could still be life in a deal for the 2014 World Cup winner. The German could still move to the Premier League, whether it be in the summer or in the last few days of this transfer window.
According to Sport Bild in Germany, van Gaal is plotting a €50 million bid for Hummels; the equivalent to £37.3 million.
The 26-year old has scored two goals in 17 appearances in all competitions this campaign.
