Leroy Sane has given a hint he is ready to commit his long term future to Manchester City.
Talks for an improved contract have been going on for several months but there hasn’t been any development so far. Sane hasn’t had the desired start to this season as he was snubbed by German manager Joachim Low for World Cup and later Pep Guardiola questioned his attitude at the start of the season.
The arrival of Riyad Mahrez also played a big role as Guardiola wanted to have some competition in the side. Sane found himself at the centre of uncertainty as he was dropped but the gaffer on a number of occasions which may have influenced his contractual decision.
But the German international has played a pivotal role as City made a scintillating start to their Premier League title defence.
Sane said, “From the beginning, when I arrived here, I have been really happy. I enjoy playing with the coach and the players.
“They are all amazing but most importantly they are all amazing people and good characters.
I have felt really at home here since day one and of course [signing an extension] is possible.”
“Even if I am not playing for a certain time, I am still happy to be here and to play for this club, to work with these players and the coach
“He is doing it good. Every one of us knows that we have to rotate sometimes because in every single position we have more than one or two good players.
Obviously there is a time when you do not start from the beginning. You have to accept it. I think it is also good to put more pressure on everyone.”
