Liverpool and Arsenal target Alexandre Lacazette is thought to have agreed a deal to join Atletico Madrid this summer.
This is according to Spanish outlet El Partidazo de la Cope. It’s thought that Atletico bosses met with Lacazette and his representatives in the week and they reached a verbal agreement.
The transfer now depends on whether Ateltico’s transfer ban will be lifted. The club lost appeals against FIFA bans on signing players in the 2017 transfer windows, but the report says they are confident of having it lifted.
Lyon chairman Jean-Michel Aulas suggested that Lacazette had already received an offer from “the club of his heart” ahead of the summer window.
“Alex had a good option with a club that is in his heart,” he explained on Tuesday.

“If the club of his heart is able to match our demands—as Barcelona did last season for Sam Umtiti—then things will go well. Otherwise, it will depend on our other business.
“But if any players feel that this club is not big enough for them, we will look for others who are just as strong but have the right mentality as well.”
