The 21-year old is one of Jurgen Klopp’s main targets according to reports
Liverpool will open talks over a move for Piotr Zielinski next week.
The 21-year old has been impressing many with some good performances at Empoli, where he has spent the last two years on loan. One of the people whose eye he has caught is Klopp, who is eager to bring him to England.
He has sent scouts to watch the youngster in action and the Reds are set to begin talks with his parent club Udinese over a potential summer deal next week.
Klopp handed massive transfer budget
Zielinski can play out wide or in the middle of the pitch and it is likely that he could fit straight into the current Liverpool squad, with Klopp looking to implement his own style next season and bring in some players to help him achieve that. Zielinski is one of those players.
The Reds manager has reportedly been handed a massive transfer budget to bring in the players he needs this summer and the Poland international is believed to be the first name he wants to bring in.
He also wants to ensure a deal is done quickly for the 21-year old, with the player likely to feature in the Euros this summer and if he impresses at the tournament, it could lead to other teams becoming interested and potentially signing him instead of Liverpool.
