Liverpool have made contact with Holland club PSV Eindhoven over a deal for winger Zakaria Bakkali.

The 18 year old has recently refused to sign a new deal with the club, leaving himself open to offers. The news has reportedly caused Liverpool to make an enquiry, while there is also interest from FC Porto and Eintracht Frankfurt, according to Dutch media.

Bakkali scored a hattrick for PSV against NEC Nijmegan at the beginning of last season, but only featured rarely throughout the rest of the campaign. The teenager, who has been capped internationally for Belgium, was also the target of Spurs and Arsenal over the past year, but now it appears that Liverpool are leading the hunt for his signature.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has already had a busy transfer window this summer, signing both Rickie Lamert and Adam Lallana from Southampton, Emre Can from Bayer Levekusen and Lazar Markovic from SL Benfica.
