Liverpool have reignited their interest in Egyptian-born Italy international Stephan El Sharaawy, amidst the news that he could be available for as little as£9.5m.
The Reds have adopted a policy of signing young players for low prices, and El Sharaawy fits that bill perfectly. The AC Milan forward was linked with a move to Anfield in January but a deal failed to come to fruition.
Whilst El Sharaawy remains popular amongst the San Siro faithful, the financial difficulties faced by the Rossoneri has forced them to become a selling club.
The Italian has scored only once in the past 622 days, following a myriad of foot problems and some lacklustre form.
The end of the season is the time for discussion regarding El Sharaawy’s future, but it seems the Reds are waiting in the wings to snap up the man who was touted as a future world star.
