With Glen Johnson out of contract at the end of the season and no sign of him beingg offered a new deal, Liverpool are already lining up Ignazio Abate as his replacement.
Abate is also out of contract this summer but Liverpool are keen to wrap up a cut price deal with A.C Milan in January.
Abate is in favour of staying at the San Siro but if he cannot reach an agreement with Milan then he will not rule out a move.
