The Sun has reported that Liverpool look ready to make a surprise move for Manchester Uniteds season long loan striker Radamel Falcao.
Falcao, 29, is currently on loan to Manchester United from Monaco and has so far failed to impress under Louis Van Gaal which has started rumours that a permanent move to Old Trafford is off the table.
Rumours have started circulating saying that despite the strikers poor run he is still wanted by some of the top clubs in Europe and that Liverpool are ahead in the race.
Chelsea and Real Madrid are also suspected to be interested in the player but Liverpool, who were linked with the player last summer are favourites.
If Liverpool succeed in getting their man from their fierce rivals they would have to pay the player £265,000 a week.
