Liverpool set to double Mohamed Salah’s wages as Reds plan contract talks.

Liverpool are hoping to tie Mohamed Salah down to a bumper new deal to ward off interest in the Egypt forward from Real Madrid.

The 25 year old has been the superstar of the season following his ÂŁ35m transfer from Roma last summer. He has netted 43 goals already this campaign, and was recently named PFA Player of the Year.

However, he is currently paid just £90,000-per-week which means he is not among Liverpool’s top earners and the Reds are ready to open contract talks with Salah to more than double his wage packet.

According to English reports, the contract offer is said to be worth £185,000-per-week and the Reds are hoping that the deal will end talks concerning Salah’s future.

The Egypt international’s brilliant campaign has led to reported interest from Real Madrid, and Liverpool do not want to lose another one of their best players having sold Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona in January.

Liverpool want to get Salah tied down to his new deal before the start of the World Cup.
