Liverpool are set to lose the race to sign Barcelona left-back Adriano, as reports suggest the player has agreed to join AS Roma.
The Red’s had been keeping a close eye on the player as they look to bulk up their options for the Champions League next season.
But now Brendan Rodgers will have to look elsewhere as Italian TV broadcaster Mediaset is reporting that Roma have agreed an £8m move to sign the 29-year-old.
Roma are also back in the Champions League next season and coach Rudi Garcia hopes the addition of Adriano can make them a force to be reckoned with.
