FC Barcelona star, Luis Suarez, has revealed his plans to retire at the Nou Camp, ruling out any possibility of a sensational return to Anfield.

The Uruguayan striker, who left after controversy on the pitch yet again during the World Cup, has yet to feature for his new side in a competitive match due to being banned for the bite, but he has featured for B-teams and is in line to feature in the El Classico at the weekend.

Suarez picked up the European Golden Shoe during the week, and was presented with the award by Liverpool legend, Kenny Dalglish, who joked about Suarez coming back to Anfield on loan, but the Uruguayan has ruled that out by saying he wants to retire in Spain.

“I won’t be angry, I want to help my teammates and show what I can do as a player,” he told TV3.

“I just want to play, I don’t care what position.

“It’s a dream come true to play for a team that you’ve always wanted to play for and if I have the opportunity to retire here, at Barca.

“It would be the perfect end to my career and I’d like to continue living in Barcelona for the love and care of my family.”
