Man City and Man United will go head-to-head this summer to try and sign Cesc Fabregas, according to reports. The Barcelona man is believed to be available at the end of the season despite playing a key role for the club this term.
The Catalan side’s below-par performances in La Liga and in the Champions League mean that they are ready to overhaul their squad this summer, with Fabregas believed to be one of the players they are willing to let go.
The Red Devils chased the midfielder last year but a deal never happened and they are still keen on him. City are looking to strengthen their midfield and with the expected departure of Gareth Barry, who has been on loan at Everton this season, they will want a replacement.
Arsenal may also try to tempt their former player back to the Emirates, if it becomes clear that he is willing to leave Barca. This means that iFabregas could end up back in the Premier League for the 2014/15 season, if one of these teams claims his signature.
