Manchester City star set for SIX WEEK absence?

Manchester City have fears that their star-striker Sergio Aguero could miss up to six weeks after he picked up a leg injury during the side’s 6-3 victory over Arsenal on Saturday.

The Argentine fell to the ground early in the second-half and made it clear that he couldn’t continue, and it appears that he has damaged a muscle in his leg which could keep him out until late January.

The injury will come as a huge blow for City and Manuel Pellegrini as Aguero has been in superb form for The Citizens, scoring 19 goals in just 20 appearances.

Pellegrini said: ‘He has a calf injury. Maybe the doctor can say exactly how many weeks he will be. I think he will be out for at least one month.’

Whereas, Aguero tweeted this to his followers: ‘It’s confirmed – my calf injury will leave me out for at least a month. The good news is recovery work starts today!’

‘We started with therapeutic massages on the area and some bike word. I’ll keep you posted. Thanks for the support!’

This will leave Pellegrini with only Alvaro Negredo and Edin Dzeko as fit strikers as Stevan Jovetic is still out injured.
