Citizens could make shock approach for Manchester United star
Manchester City are targeting Manchester United winger Angel Di Maria, after it was rumoured the Argentine winger is set for an Old Trafford exit.
The former Real Madrid man only joined the Red Devils last summer for a club record £59 million, but suffered a poor first campaign in the Premier League.
Despite an impressive start, with three goals in his first five games, the wide man was reduced to a role from the bench towards the end of the season, sparking rumours that he may be on the move.
Di Maria’s Future Uncertain?
Furthermore, Louis Van Gaal’s side recently secured the acquisition of Memphis Depay meaning there is the added competition for the position. These rumours of him departing Old Trafford have sparked their neighbours City into action as they looks to secure his services.
It is believed however, that the 27 year old favours a move away from the Premier League with Paris Saint-Germain one of man big clubs interested in securing his signature.
