Manchester City will do everything in their powers to keep star-midfielder Yaya Toure at the club, despite him wanting out due to ‘accumalating too many grudges’ with colleagues.

Toure has had a troubled Summer already, with his agent doing most of the talking and suggesting his client was ready to leave the Eithad after the club forgot about his birthday. His agent stated that the midfielder felt disrespected due to everyone forgetting.

Then the 31-year-old suffered the heart-breaking news that his younger brother had passed away, which he found out during the World Cup in Brazil.

With his future in the air, an un-named Ivory Coast team-mate has said this about his countryman’s future:

“He has accumulated too many grudges against [Manchester City’s] leaders and he will not stay with them,” said the unnamed player.

“He will do everything to ensure his departure this summer.”

However, the English champions are set to knock back any formal offers that come in for the Ivorian, with Chelsea and Liverpool reportedly monitoring the situation.

City also expect the midfielder to go on their pre-season tour with them to USA later this month.
