Dani Alves could be set for Old Trafford
Manchester United could be announcing the signing of Dani Alves within the next week as they look to add to their defensive options this summer.
Alves’s contract expires with Barcelona at the end of this season, and has shown no signs of prolonging his future at the Nou Camp.
This has alerted the interest of clubs including United, Liverpool and Paris Saint Germain over the last couple of months.
Louis Van Gaal looks to be in the market for a right-back having had to use winger Antonio Valencia and youngster Paddy McNair there for the majority of this season.
The Brazilian’s wages are thought to be in the region of £150,000 per week, however with no transfer fee attached it would still represent good value for money for whomever Alves ends up with next season.
