If reports are to be believed Jose Mourinho is set to be handed a big transfer kitty in a bid to acquire the service of his transfer targets.
Reports of his removal had been doing the rounds but it seems the club hierarchy is not in the mood to welcome a new manager in the dugout. The Red Devils failed to fulfil his transfer aspirations as none of the desired defenders arrived at the Old Trafford.
Mourinho had the utmost priority to strengthen his defence and had identified the likes of Harry Maguire and Toby Alderweireld as a part of his defensive reshuffle. But chief executive Ed Woodward’s inability to conclude a deal for either of the player left Mourinho in a state of bother.
Since then Maguire went on to extend his association with Leicester City while Alderweireld’s current contract can be extended by a further year.
United looked to have lost confidence in the gaffer but an upturn in their form has cooled all the rumours as of now. They are currently unbeaten in their last three Premier League matches and are set to travel to Vitality stadium to take on an in form Bournemouth.
