Manchester United have taken the decision to recall Adnan Januzaj from his loan spell at German Bundesliga side, Borussia Dortmund.
The reasoning behind why United have terminated the temporary stay is due to a lack of regular appearances for the 20-year-old, with the Belgian forward having just made 12 appearances for Dortmund.
Januzaj started just six times for his former employers, and his last outing for the club came in a Europa League tie against Greek side, PAOK, back in December.
It is a far cry from the start of the league season, where Januzaj was part of United manager, Louis Van Gaal’s plans for the 2015/16 term – featuring four times in August, scoring the winner away at Aston Villa.
His current deal at Old Trafford expires in the summer of 2018.
