Sporting Lisbon have upped their demands for fullback Marcos Rojo, after telling Manchester United that they must pay £24 million to sign him, according to The Daily Express.
Louis Van Gaal had originally bid £16 million for the Argentine World Cup man, with Rojo himself trying to force the move through.
Lisbon are trying to bump up the fund for him, to end a legal dispute involving the player, with Sporting only set to receive a small percentage of the fee should a deal go through, due to a third party ownership of Rojo himself.
Hence why the Portuguese side are holding out for a rather large sum.
Louis Van Gaal is apparently growing frustrated with United’s transfer movement, with Luke Shaw and Ander Herrera their prize deals to date, costing in a fee of £60 million.
