Manchester United have been told that they will have to pay £128m, in order to sign Barcelona’s Brazilian international, Neymar.
Officials at the Nou Camp have devised a contract offer for their star-studded player, with Neymar likely to be offered a six-year deal, worth £6m a year – until 2021.
United have subsequently turned their attentions to Neymar, after losing out to Chelsea in the battle to sign Pedro.
Chief-Executive, Ed Woodward, had previously traveled to the Spanish city to discuss a deal for the now Chelsea winger, only for Pedro to rebuff United’s advances, and sign for the Red Devils.
UNITED WANT TO TRIGGER BUY-OUT CLAUSE
The Old Trafford outfit are keen to trigger Neymar’s £140m buy-out clause, and are willing to offer him £300,000 a week to sign on.
But Barcelona are seemingly unmoved by the latest developments, and seem keen to add to their squad, as they look to defend last seasons La Liga crown.
