According to the latest reports from Italy, Marcelo has agreed to sign with Juventus next season on a 4-year contract.

La Stampa (via The Daily Mirror) claims that the Brazilian will earn around €12m per year at Turin. His recent record of playing as a second stringer under Santiago Solari seems to have pushed him towards reuniting his former teammate and dear friend, Cristiano Ronaldo.

Marcelo last made a start for Real Madrid during last month’s 1-2 La Liga defeat to Girona and was left on the bench for the midweek 4-1 defeat against Ajax.

It seems like the veteran fullback is no longer in the plans of the Galactico manager who himself is struggling to hold down the job at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Marcelo’s absence from the Madrid starting lineup has cost him a spot in Tite’s Brazil national team squad. The 30-year-old has been a regular in the senior lineup over the decade, earning 58 caps for his country and scoring 6 international goals.

Juventus’ current left-back Alex Sandro continues to be linked with a move away from the club. He has been consistently linked with a move away to the Premier League for the past couple of seasons.

His compatriot’s arrival might be the final straw to push him out of the Italian giants this summer.
