Alonso netted Chelsea’s first goal of the game with a superb free-kick and then scored the winner late on after Spurs had leveled.
Chelsea won in late fashion after an own goal by Michy Batshuayi put Spurs level at 1-1, the winner came with Marcos Alonso doubling his personal tally for the game,
And Alonso was happy to boast about his goals haul to the cameras as he walked down the tunnel at Wembley.
“I don’t think I have hit better [free-kicks] than that, even in training,” he said. “I am very happy for the win.
“There has been a lot of talking during the week, but we showed we are together as a team.”
He also took a selfie holding up two fingers which Chelsea’s official twitter account posted soon after full time, with the caption ‘How many goals today, Marcos Alonso?’
