Mathieu Flamini says nothing has changed

Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini has revealed the main reason behind him settling in so well at the club is due to the fact nothing has changed since he was last in North London.

The Frenchman signed for Arsene Wenger this Summer after he was released by Italian side AC Milan, and at the time, a lot of fans were a bit sceptical about the move.

However, Flamini has settled back in nicely to the Arsenal line-up and in fact has been one of their stand-out performers and the Frenchman believes that is because nothing has changed in the club since he left back in 2008.

“I’m not really surprised [it has gone well] because the philosophy is still the same,” said Flamini “We’re still playing the same football. Arsène Wenger is still here with the same conviction, for me on the pitch it’s always the same game so it went very naturally.

“I’m happy, I feel good, I feel happy in this team but what’s important is the collective. I think again [against Marseille] the spirit on the pitch was amazing, everyone was helping each other and that makes the difference because we have an amazing group.”
