Mauricio Pochettino insists he constantly pushes Harry Kane in a bid to improve his goal scoring skills which have been the main reason behind his massive transformation.
Kane has been a revelation for Spurs as he has single handedly carrying them in the last couple of seasons. The England international has exceeded all expectations and is regarded among the top centre forwards in the current era.
His scoring rate has been immense and needs another 106 goals to be the North Londoners’ all time highest goal scorer. He could also break Alan Shearer’s Premier League records given he stays at the club for a more longer period.
Kane has blossomed under Pochettino’s guidance and the Argentine manager reveals the actual reason behind his rapid rise. “The good thing that we have, all coaching staff that I am the deliver of this coaching staff, I think that we can’t set a limit.
“We are so open to provide them the possibility to grow, grow, grow, grow, and if they have the determination to grow and grow is to give freedom to grow, not to put some limit, that is what happened.
“I think to believe that can be better and better.
“Still today we fight with him and say you can be better and you can do better. Only you need to think that you can improve.
“The moment you think you can’t improve and you know everything, you start to lose and go down.
“That is the mentality that we try to translate to the players, younger players and senior players too, because I think life, not only football, life is always about to learn, learn and learn.
“You must be open to learn and focus, if not it’s so difficult to learn.”
