Arsenal and Germany star Mezut Ozil will face a spell on the sidelines, after injuring his Hamstring on Tuesday night in the Champions League. Ozil has been the target of recent criticism sue to the decline in his form recently, he has even been booed off while on international duty for Germany.

Arsene Wenger had to substitute Ozil at half time and revealed the Playmaker would miss the North London derby on Sunday against Tottenham and be out for a minimum of three weeks.

“We lose Ozil, who has been injured for Sunday, I don’t know how long he will be out but it looks a minimum of three weeks,” Wenger said on Friday.

“When the minimum is three, (then) the maximum is six. I am not specialist enough to know, it is a grade two hamstring (tear), so let’s say four weeks.”

This adds to the injury list Arsenal already have, with two other key midfielders out. Jack Wilshere was injured on international duty and isn’t expected back until mid April, Aaron Ramsey was expected to be back for the derby, but recently suffered a set back in his recovery and will miss the game.

Wenger added: “It is of course a blow, but I am confident we have the quality to deal without him (Ozil). We have many creative players who can take over to produce quality performances.”

On loan midfielder Kim Kallstrom, may be in line to make his debut at White Hart lane. This is a massive game for both teams as Tottenham are hoping to keep their slim top four chances alive, while Arsenal look to maintain their title challenge.
