Mikel wants Chelsea exit

Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel is determined to leave Stamford Bridge this summer as he feels he has fallen down the ranks this season and wanted more game time.

The 26 year old still has three years left on his contract but wants to leave due to his frustration with Mourinho’s team picking.

Since the January arrival of Nemanja Matic from Benfica, the Nigerian international has felt less in the spotlight and feels he has fallen further down the pecking order so, with a number of European clubs reportedly interested, Mikel is likely to leave England in the summer.

There has already been strong interest from Turkish giants Galatasaray, who Chelsea beat 3-1 on aggregate in the Champions League round of 16, and Inter Milan who have struggled for form in Serie A.

Chelsea are unlikely to let Mikel go cheap because he is still under contract despite the midfielder’s interest in a departure.
