Arsenal have been offered the chance to finalise a deal to sign Italian forward Mario Balotelli from AC Milan.
It is understood Milan are looking to offload the controversial striker this summer and hope to do buisness with Arsenal after continued speculation about a deal.
However, Arsenal must meet Milan’s requirements in order to let the player go, as they insist the club offer ejust £7.9m plus Costa Rica star Joel Campbell.
Milan were already in talks to sign Campbell when the idea came of trying to sell Balotelli as part of a package.
Arsene Wenger has denied that he wants to sign a new striker but that could change with Balotelli now being at such a bargain price.
Wenger is yet to be fully convinced by World Cup star Campbell and wouldn’t see it as a big loss if he let him move to Milan.
Arsenal are yet to respond to Milan’s offer, with the ball now firmly in their court.
