The Chelsea full back has just one year left on his contract and as Sunday People Sport revealed last week, Carlo Ancelotti’s side are keen to sign the veteran defender, on a two year deal and this offer may tempt Cole into a move.

New York Red Bulls, where former team mate Thierry Henry is the star man, are also preparing a bid and now French giants AS Monaco have joined the race with a lucrative two year deal of their own.

In Monaco, Cole could earn around ÂŁ10m a year without tax, and as the French side hope for Champions League football next season, the 33 year old left-back would definitely be tempted by the move. Cole would be reuinted with former team-mate Ricardo Carvalho as Monaco have brought in a host of super signings within the last year such as radamel Falcao and James Rodgriguez.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has hinted at a possible one year contract extension for Cole but after losing his place in the side to Saturday’s man of the match Cesar Azpilicueta and with lucrative offers coming from elsewhere, Cole will consider all options.

Cole’s current priority is to gain as much game time at Chelsea so to convince Roy Hodgson that he is worthy of a place in the England world cup squad. Cole is avaliable to sign a pre-contract with any potential clubs as he is now in his final 6 months with the Blues. However he and his advisors are happy to wait and make a sensible decision over his future when the time is right for all parties involved.
