Former player Mick Quinn has said the duo’s relationship is at an all time low.
Diego Costa and Jose Mourinho continue to argue with each other.
After having his worst start ever as manager Jose Mourinho has been quick to pick up players that haven’t performed this season. Diego Costa has been one of them which has received constructive criticism from Jose and the press. After failing to recapture his form from last season the striker has resorted to arguing with Mourinho.
“I’ve heard from someone at Chelsea that Mourinho and Costa are constantly arguing.
“And not just rowing – screaming at each other.
“In the dressing room, at half-time, coming off the pitch – it’s been constantly going on.”
And Quinn revealed why Mourinho is far from happy with Costa’s recent form.
“The reason Chelsea signed him is because he was one of those unselfish strikers, but he spends too much time outside the box now and Mourinho is not going to put up with that.
Something has got to give and I think it might be Costa.”
The former Atletico Madrid striker has been criticised of petulance and over reacting when challenged on the pitch. this particularly trait has only just crept into Costa’s game as we looks for me free kicks outside the box rather than trying to score.
