Jose Mourinho is confident that Louis van Gaal will prove to be a success at Manchester United.
In the Premier League, van Gaal has made a disappointing start to his United career, and has not yet won a competitive match.
Van Gaal had an extremely busy summer transfer window, sanctioning moves for Angel Di Maria, Radamel Falcao, Luke Shaw, Ander Herrera, Marcos Rojo and Daley Blind whilst allowing the likes of Danny Welbeck, Javier Hernandez, Shinji Kagawa and Nani to leave Old Trafford.
Mourinho believes that his former boss at Barcelona will eventually deliver the goods for the Stretford faithful.
He said: “He is one of the best managers in the world so I think he is a man with great experience for the job.
“Manchester United is a big team and he is a big manager so I think they will do well together.”
