A passionate Jose Mourinho came to life during a pre-match press conference late yesterday when the topic turned the Ibrahimovic.

Jose was asked about Zlatan’s impressive contribution which currently sits at nine more goals than United’s next most prolific player (Mata).

‘Mou’ responded with great enthusiasm first addressing his critics before arriving to Old Trafford.

‘ Maybe people could think, top scorer but not anymore at 35 years old. Not anymore because the Premier League is not La League and La League is not the same as Premier League.

‘ He scores goals. He plays well. I’m really happy for him because he will end his career in a high which is amazing. He is not ending his career in America or China. He is ending his career in the tops of the tops. ‘

Mourinho heaped on further praise for the big Sweed addressing the unique nature of Ibrahimovic’s scoring record,

‘ I am really really pleased with him. His record is good he can improve, with no penalties which is amazing too because normally the other guys that are top scorers around the world they score a lot of penalties. He had one penalty in 17 premier league matches. I couldn’t be happier with him.’

This animated Mourinho is set to take on former United manager David Moyes at 3pm UK Time. Manchester United will be expecting to take all three points against a weak Sunderland outfit.

United currently are sat at sixth on the table with a win placing them one point outside the top four. For Sunderland, a point could see them draw level with 17th placed Palace as they make a bid to escape relegation.
