Lyon player Nabil Fekir has admitted he has moved on since his failed transfer to Liverpool in the summer.
The Reds were linked with a move for Fekir and the player even appeared to undergo a medical prior to the move. But following the assessment of his health the club decided to back out from the transfer.
Fekir was supposed to be the fifth signing this summer following the arrival of Alisson, Naby Keita, Fabinho and Xherdan Shaqiri but the move failed to materialize.
Fekir even had done all the promotional photo shoots and interviews in the Reds jersey but due to unexpected circumstances, he was deprived of featuring in the Premier League.
Fekir said, “What happened with Liverpool is straight out of my head, I’ve turned the page.
“We must not stop at this, we must move forward. There are things that must be accepted.
“My future? We have not discussed an extension yet, we will see what happens.”
“Yes, the failed Liverpool move has been totally digested. These things can happen. That is how it is. You have to move on – it is ancient history.
I heard a few things. The real reason, though, only they [Liverpool] know.”
