No need to worry says Mourinho

Blues have been fairly quiet this summer

After concerns of Chelsea’s dealings in this summer’s transfer window, Jose Mourinho has told the blues fans to ‘praise the board’.

Chelsea have so far released Didier Drogba, sold Petr Cech to Arsenal and made like for like changes with Radamel Falcao replacing Drogba and Asmir Begovic replacing Cech.

Rivals Spending

Chelsea’s Premier League rivals on the other hand have really splashed the cash in this window.

Manchester United have signed the likes of Memphis Depay, Morgan Schneiderlin and Matteo Darmian. Liverpool have brought in some promising signings in Roberto Firmino and Christian Benteke along with the England international Nathaniel Clyne.

Finally we come to Manhester City, who have splashed out £49million on Raheem Sterling.

The concerns were made clear after last Saturday’s 2-2 home draw with Swansea City but Mourinho has acted calmly and reassured the blues fans.

Mourinho Asks for Calm Fans

He said: ‘Since he (Abramovich) bought the club Chelsea supporters cannot speak in a negative way about the transfer mar

‘They have only to speak in a positive way and praise the owner and praise the board because of their dedication and all the owner did for the club.

‘We managers want titles, players want titles, clubs want titles. Everyone has a contribution and I think the contribution of the owner has been massive in that respect.

‘So, if at the moment we are not top of the league in relation to the spenders, it doesn’t mean that but people do not have to be worried.

‘First of all the transfer window is not closed. Secondly, we don’t have to be always a champion in the market and third, because we do things we think we have to do when we can.’
