Achraf Hakimi has officially become an Inter Milan player for a reported fee of €40 million.
An additional €5 million is also included in bonuses and add-ons. Hakimi came back from completing his loan deal with Borussia Dortmund to immediately sign for the Nerazzuri.
Antonio Conte rates him highly and views him as the perfect player to dawn the wing-back role on the right. His electrifying pace, close control and crossing ability will make him a threat in the Italian’s system.
Hakimi displayed some of his best attacking traits in the free-flowing football style of Dortmund’s. Lucien Favre pretty much gave him free reign on the right flank, allowing him to break defences in devastating fashion. Hakimi is still developing as a defender and will find an able teacher in Conte. The former Chelsea boss is an expert in defence management and in the 3-4-3 playing style.
Inter have already greatly improved under the Italian boss and can be expected to put in an even more fitting title challenge next season. Hakimi becomes the 15th player signing under Conte.
